Expert guide to Morzine
Catered chalet accommodation is something that Morzine does well, including smaller high-end tour operators offering stylish, well-run options with great views and within walking distance of pistes, resort shops and bars. Each winter sees a plethora of new chalets opening, offering a host of luxury facilities for guests from spas and pools to games rooms and home cinemas, with standards increasing each year.

Hotel L’Hermine Blanche
A charming three-star hotel, Hotel L’Hermine Blanche is a six-minute walk from the slopes, shops and nightlife. Rooms are ensuite and decorated in traditional Savoyard style.
The common name for Le Mas de Coutettaz, Morzine’s finest chalet-hotel, the Farmhouse was originally constructed in 1771 and converted into its present form around 25 years ago. It now has 11 bedrooms in the main house and an annexe. Guests dine at a large communal banqueting table.
Chalets and apartments
A large free-standing chalet located close to the Nyon cable car, Chamois d’Or sleeps up to 14 people in seven bedrooms over three floors. There’s a sun terrace with an outdoor hot tub.
La Ferme à Jules
Originally an early 19th-century farmhouse, La Ferme à Jules has been lovingly converted into a 10-bedroom chalet sleeping up to 26, with loads of living space. It has a hot tub, sauna, log fires and amazing views down the valley and is one of a small collection of chalets offered by British couple Ali and Kat Judge.

Claiming to have the best location in town, Chalet George is equidistant from the two main lifts and close to shops and restaurants. The chalet sleeps 14 and has an open log fire, plus balconies on either side that give fine views across the mountains.
